Quinlan – Hunt County authorities were led on a chase Thursday afternoon following a reported burglary near Lake Tawakoni.
A homeowner in the 6600 block of FM 276 discovered a person inside a barn located on his property.
The suspect then fled in a vehicle and the homeowner followed while calling 911. A short time later, the suspect vehicle was spotted by a Hunt County constable, and officers gave chase until the man stopped at his Quinlan residence, leading officers on a short foot pursuit.
The man is charged with burglary of a building and evading arrest or detention with a vehicle.
His name has not been released pending formal arraignment.
