SULPHUR SPRINGS - Sulphur Springs Police intend to file a felony charge of evading arrest or detention with a vehicle against 19-year-old Chase Garrett Hudson upon his release from the hospital.

He is also expected to be charged with marijuana possession.

The Sulphur Springs News Telegram reports Hudson led law enforcement on a Sunday evening pursuit after he was observed speeding. Hudson would later lose control of the vehicle, flipping the car before it landed on its roof, knocking Hudson unconscious.

He was transported to Parkland Hospital in Dallas.

The newspaper reports that a passenger that had exited the vehicle during the pursuit may not face charges as police believe that person was merely a passenger and did not appear to commit any offense.
