This week's program features an excerpt from “Go Down Looking,” a novel by Jim Ainsworth of Commerce.

It’s the story of Jake Rivers, a young man whose search for self leads him across rural Texas. In today’s reading, Jake ruefully taxes leave of the Texas Panhandle and the windswept land he had learned to love. Jake's roots in Delta County have drawn him back to his people in Northeast Texas. “Go Down Looking,” by Jim Ainsworth, read by the author.
