A "large amount of crack cocaine" was recovered from the parking lot at the Commerce Inn early Tuesday morning.

Update 5/9/12 Press Release: The Commerce Police Department released this information early Wednesday morning.

Original Story: According to information provided to KETR, Commerce Police officers were responding to a disturbance call at the Commerce Inn on highway 24/50 involving two white females, one black female, and one black male.

Upon arrival, the male ran behind the moving trailers and trucks that are parked on the property. After hearing a loud thud, and supposing the individual had fallen into the trailer, officers pursued and in turn, discovered scales and a large amount of crack cocaine, amidst other paraphernalia.
