COMMERCE - A partial settlement involving the demolition of buildings at Texas A&M University-Commerce is up for consideration Tuesday by the Hunt County Commissioners Court.

It was not immediately clear which defendants had agreed to partial settlement agreements and fines. The suit was filed last summer by Hunt County and the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality.

It alleges A&R Demolition Inc., of Del Valle, illegally disposed of debris from the former West Halls dormitory at two separate areas in rural Hunt County. The Austin-area based demolition firm filed a general denial of the lawsuit in September.

A&R Demolition was responsible for bringing down Texas Stadium in 2010 and Reunion Arena in Dallas in 2009.
