GREENVILLE - The gun is believed to have been fired into the air by Joel Rodriguez, Jr. on Saturday and then tossed into a residential neighborhood.
Rodriguez remains jailed on one count of deadly conduct and abandoning/endangering a child.
He was said to be driving a truck when he fired the gun, the proceeded toward the Greentree Apartments and then Robin Road, Flamingo and Chaparral Streets before being pulled over. The female passenger told officers Rodriguez had thrown the gun from the vehicle.
As of Monday afternoon, officers had yet to locate the weapon.
