Triple digit temperatures could be a thing of the past, for now.
The National Weather Service has forecast high 90s all week for most of Northeast Texas.
Showers and thunderstorms are possible Monday night, with the skies clearing up for Tuesday.
Wednesday and Thursday calls for a 20 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms, with skies once again clearing up for Friday.
Just because the triple digit heat isn't in the forecast, doesn't mean that the danger is gone. 80 degree weather can produce 120+ temperatureswithin a closed vehicle after an hour of being left in the sun.
Leaving the windows slightly open doesn't have a great effect on how hot the car can get.
