GREENVILLE - Gray has also been fined after admitting to stealing nearly $20,000 from the Bowie Elementary School PTA in Greenville.

Gray was indicted on 21 counts of forgery, alleging she wrote forged checks on the organization’s account. She pleaded guilty to the charges Wednesday. Gray’s family members say the entire missing amount has been repaid.

The initial plea bargain ordered 200 hours of community service, but Judge Steve Tittle added another 400 hours to the sentence. Gray was also fined $2,500 and has been ordered to write a one-half page letter of apology to her victims.
