Charges filed in home invasion robbery

In lieu of presenting the cases to the Hunt County grand jury, the Hunt County District Attorney’s Office filed information charges Wednesday against Karli Louise Brumit.

Brumit received two charges for aggravated robbery and one count of burglary of a habitation. Arraignment dates on the charges were not immediately scheduled.

One of the aggravated robbery charges and the burglary of a habitation charge refer to two offenses reported in August by the Hunt County Sheriff’s Office.

Sheriff Randy Meeks says Brumit, Larry Michael Gomez, and Zachary Ryan Day, both of Greenville, were arrested in connection with the alleged offenses and that additional charges were expected to be filed in the case.

Meeks issued a statement indicating that on the morning of August 10, deputies were dispatched to a residence on County/Private Road 3141 southeast of Greenville in reference to a report of an aggravated robbery, in which a teenager was abducted at gunpoint.
