Bid Approved on Greenville Street Improvement Program

Some Greenville streets are going to be receiving work.A bid was awarded Tuesday for a project to perform maintenance work on portions of more than two dozen local streets. There were some last minute changes to the streets included under the current street improvement program, due to fears of plumbing infrastructure problems underneath the surface.

The Greenville City Council approved a budget adjustment to pay for the program, the cost of which came in slightly higher than originally planned, and awarded the bid to Austin Bridge and Road of Dallas.

The program does not involve any new construction, but does include projects including overlaying, crack sealing, and micro-surfacing of local streets.
