Ford High School Student Arrested for Alleged Threats Against School

A Quinlan Ford High School student was arrested Tuesday for allegedly making threats against the school. The student’s name was not released due to his age, but he was placed in custody at the Hunt County Juvenile Detention Center. Hunt County Sheriff Randy Meeks says his investigators are still sorting through the information they received from the school district, officials, and others; and that further details may be available today or Friday.

A statement on the Quinlan Independent School District website said the district and the district’s police department investigated the threat and interviewed multiple students, but could not substantiate the accusations.

But as of the end of the school day Tuesday the Hunt County Sheriff’s office had received further information that lead to the arrest.
