Delta County Cinderella Project is underway

Local Delta County ladies are making fairy tales come true for Prom-goers with the Cinderella Project.

“It is a program designed for junior and senior girls attending prom who are in need of a prom dress. Dresses these days are so expensive, and we want to make sure every girl has a chance to attend,” said Brittany Hunter, organizer. “The dresses are free and the girls don't have to show any proof of finances to come. It is open to Cooper as well as any surrounding schools.”

Last year the event was so successful 15 girls received dresses. This year they are allowing participants to schedule their own “special time” to try on dresses.

“We have over 85 new - like new dresses in sizes 00-22 this year. The dresses are set up at Lowery Medical Supply and can contact me to set up a fitting,” added Hunter. “It's a great way to give back to the community! And, dresses can still be donated! They can be dropped off at Lowery Medical Supply or at The Beauty Depot.”

Prom is just around the corner for Cooper and Fannindel students as it is Saturday, May 3.

Those interested and would like more information or would like to try on prom dresses, please contact Brittany Hunter to set up an appointment. Call, text or message her at 903-438-5418. Fittings will be held at Lowery Medical Supply, located on State Highway 24 in Cooper.
