Flooding results in Disaster Declaration

Delta County Judge Jason Murray signed into declaration  a local state of disaster for Delta County for the damage, loss of property resulting from excessive rain and localized flooding on May 4, 2015.

The judge determined that extraordinary measures were needed to alleviate the suffering of people and to protect or rehabilitate property. This put the County’s Emergency Management Plan into implementation by Emergency Management Coordinator Monty Hobbs.
