Road and park improvement bonds will be on Lamar County ballots on Saturday.

In Paris, citizens will vote on nearly $10 million in tax bonds for street and road improvements as well as $500,000 for park improvements and equipment.
Additionally, four seats of the Paris city council are up for grabs by four candidates who are running unopposed.

Meanwhile, the North Lamar Independent School District is having a bond and board election. The bond proposal is for $45 million for construction of a new elementary school and intermediate school with various provisions. In addition, it would cover security upgrades to Stone Middle School and updates to Parker Elementary.

Residents will also consider the issuance of $5 million in bonds for construction, acquisition and equipment of school buildings for the Roxton Independent School District. The bonds would also cover the purchase of new school buses.
