Collin County Reports First Human West Nile Case of the Year

West Nile Virus activity by state, as of Aug. 1.

The Collin County Health Department has confirmed the county’s first case of  human West Nile Virus this summer. 

Officials say a resident of Frisco contracted the disease within the 75035 zip code, but they do not know when. Officials say the patient has recovered from the virus.

No spraying plan is scheduled for the city, but county health officials say they will continue to monitor the area.
