FBI Reminds Disaster Donors to be Cautious
While large-scale natural disasters bring out the good in some, the FBI is warning those who want to help to be wary of where they’re giving their money.
The bureau says that before making any donations to help victims of Harvey, residents should exercise some caution. The FBI asks that you not donate money or information in response to unsolicited emails or text messages, to verify all agencies and charities accepting relief money, and to only donate through trusted organizations.
