Emergency-Room Violence Rises, But Response Is Firmer

Kim Saenz, the director of the Hunt Regional Emergency Centers in Commerce and Quinlan, says she has seen a rise in violence directed against emergency-roon doctors and nurses in her career, but she says Hunt Regional and other hospital organizations have established "zero-tolerance" policies against violence, which have helped deal with the problem.
