Commerce Mayor Wyman Williams says the City Council has approved a contract to expand Centennial Park. About 13 acres will be added to the north side of the 30 acre park, including a skate park and walking/jogging path. The cost will be about $150 thousand but the city received about half of that amount in grants, the mayor says. Also, Wyman says the council passed a resolution of support for Lake Ralph Hall, to be built in Fannin County within 12 miles of Commerce, after receiving a report from the Upper Trinity Regional Water District.
