Sulphur Springs Ready To Take Over 5,000 Acre Thermo Coal Mine

Sulphur Springs Mayor Pro-Tem Emily Glass says the city is ready to take over possession of the former Thermo coal mine owned by Luminant Mining.  The city is studying possible uses of the 5,000-acre property, including its use as a park.  Also, the annual Fall Festival begins Saturday, and concludes with the Hopkins County Stew Content on Saturday, October 27.
