Happy New Year, Northeast Texas!
Nagatoshi Shimamura

If you’re looking for the best cities to ring in the new year, San Antonio, Dallas, and Houston are pretty good bets, at least according to personal finance website WalletHub.

WalletHub ranked the three cities in the top 25 US cities for a happenin’ New Year’s Eve. Cities were ranked for entertainment, food, safety, and cost. And while the big three could do a little better on safety, they’re all top-20 for the number of places open to spend New Year’s Eve and for the abundance of good food they offer.

Just don’t stray too far afield if you’re spending the evening in Dallas – nearby Garland finished dead last in WalletHub’s rankings of fun places to spend New Year’s Eve.

The website also ranked Austin and Plano high on its list of cities where revelers are most likely to live up to their New Year’s resolutions to get fit, save money, and break bad habits.
