A months-long investagtion of some illegal fishing at Lake Bob Sandlin resulted in one arrest and the issuance of several citations by Texas Parks and Wildlife game wardens.
Three men had been videotaped for months illegally entering the park late at night, driving the wrong way down a one-way road, attempting to bypass security cameras, and entering the park without paying, officials said.
On April 5, a warden confronted the three men, two of whom had been previously warned by state park police and park staff, with six citations issued for Fail to Pay Entrance Fee for State Park, two citations for Parking where Prohibited – Handicapped Zone, and one citation for No Fishing License.
One man was also arrested for Fishing after License Suspended or Revoked. Also, warning citations were issued to one man for Assault by Threat and Disorderly Conduct by Language. All three men were also issued a Criminal Trespass Warning from the state park, which will restrict them from entering the premises for a period of one year.
