American Legion Upholds The Traditions Of Memorial Day

Gene Toohey, adjutant of American Legion Otho Morgan Post 17in Greenville, says members of the post will gather around the flag pole at their building at 4509 Moulton Street near I-30 at 11 a.m. today to honor fallen vets and then enjoy each others' company. Also, they place up to 2,500 flags on veterans' graves in the Greenville area each year.  Gene says the post still has 22 members who are veterans of World War II.
