Commerce Council Approves New Housing Development; $6M Works Project Planned

Commerce Mayor Wyman Williams says the City Council has approved a new housing development to be constructed east of Farm Road 3218 near the Commerce Elementary School.

The council has approved a zoning change from agricultural use to single-family housing. Also this week, the council approved a $6 million public works project, which will include street repaving, a splash pad and a new animal shelter, among other endeavors.
