Derek Price, author of the "Cargazing" column that appears in the Herald-Banner and is nationally syndicated, reflecting on a recent NPR feature, says that true "flying cars" may never happen, because "cars" that fly or "planes" that drive may not be practically compatible. But he says drones may someday exist that transport people in much the same way that taxis do now. Derek says Majors Field Airport in Greenville will host its annual "Fly-in" of vintage planes Saturday, Nov. 6.

John Mark Dempsey is the host of the public interest program The Blacklands Café from KETR News. Dempsey is also the play-by-play announcer for Commerce Tigers Football on 88.9 FM and on ketr.org.
