How You Talk About Good Nutrition With Your Kids Makes A Difference

Mary Shockley, Hunt County Agrilife extension agent, says how you present information to kids about nutrition makes a difference in their receptiveness to it.

Mary says it's best to be specific in what you say. For example, rather than "Salad is healthy" it's better to say "Green food helps you fight off sickness." Mary also discusses how to organize fun family nature walks, and the "Walk and Talk" program for youth and adults available through Agrilife.
