Steve McNair Jr. to play for Midwestern State

Steve McNair Jr. will be lining up at receiver in the Lone Star Conferencethis upcoming season for Midwestern State University in Wichita Falls.

McNair spent the past two seasons at Pearl River Community Collegein Poplarville, Mississippi, where he compiled 69 catches for 727 yards and three touchdowns. While at PRCC, McNair also played on the defensive side of the ball compiling 43 tackles, one sack, and four interceptions.

McNair is the son of the late Steve McNair, an NFL quarterback for 13 seasons, who spent the majority of his career with the Tennessee Titans, whom drafted him third overall in the 1995 NFL draft when the franchise was the Houston Oilers.

Midwestern State is set to square off with Texas A&M University-Commerceat Cowboys Stadiumin Arlington on Thursday, September 13. The game is part of the Lone Star Football Festival and is schedule to be broadcast live on the CBS Sports Network.
