Partlow sentenced for impersonating lawyer

By Brad Kellar

Greenville – A Dallas man has pleaded guilty to impersonating a lawyer in a Hunt County courtroom. Jeffery Scott Partlow entered the plea Tuesday.

As part of a plea deal, he was placed on ten years probation.

Partlow was arrested in October 2010 after appearing as an attorney representing a client in a misdemeanor case. During the session, Partlow appeared to be intoxicated and was detained. He was later charged with and found guilty of public intoxication and contempt of court and received 90 days in jail.

Partlow has admitted he is not an attorney. He received a degree as a paralegal from a mail order correspondence school.
