Tigers, Lions both back in action this week

By Kevin Jefferies

Commerce –
COMMERCE TIGERS

The Commerce Tigers will host the Rains Wildcats for homecoming tonight in Commerce. The Tigers dropped their first district match-up last week in Mount Vernon and are looking to secure a win and keep playoff hopes alive tonight against a strong Emory team. Last season, the Wildcats held Commerce scoreless in an upset. The Wildcats are also coming off a huge win over Quinlan where they ran away with the game in the second half for a final score of 53-14 Rains. Both teams bring more experience to tonight's game.

Kick-off is set for 7:30 at Memorial Stadium in Commerce, with live coverage beginning at 7 here on 88.9.

A&M-COMMERCE

The A&M-Commerce Lions are on the road this week looking to maintain a perfect conference record. 3-3 overall and 2-0 in Lone Star Conference North play, the Lions are on the road after a week off to face rival Southeastern Oklahoma. The Lions currently sit atop the north Division and look to maintain that lead with a 2 o'clock kick-off tomorrow in Durant, Oklahoma.

Live coverage on 88.9 begins at 1:30.
