A&M-Commerce continues <BR>receiving LSC honors

Commerce, TX –

The football and volleyball teams at Texas A&M University-Commerce have received more honors from the Lone Star Conference.

Two members of the Lions football team were given weekly conference honors. For the second straight week, kicker Chris Quiroga was named north division special teams player, after making three field goals and three extra points in the Lions 30-3 rout of Northeastern Oklahoma. For the first time, Andree' Smith was picked north division defensive player. The lineman forced a fumble, had a quarterback sack, and 2 1/2 tackles for losses.

And Lions volleyball player Colleen Favaro has been named conference offensive player of the week for the second time this season. She extended her double-double streak to five games, with a 21 kill and 13 dig effort against West Texas A&M and a 16 kill and 13 dig effort against Eastern New Mexico.
