– Facilitative work continues on the Texas A&M University-Commerce campus. A&M-Commerce President Keith McFarland gave a progress report on all current projects at this years Spring Faculty Meeting. He expressed his thoughts on the University's new music building that will be constructed just west of the current Student Center. Eventually the MSC along with the T-Lounge will be torn down to allow for the construction of the new music building. He also addressed the current construction of the new Alumni Center west of the Heritage House. That project is expected to be complete by July.

McFarland also talked about possible action toward the University's tunnel that runs under Highway 50. The tunnel was constructed in the 1960's as the University perceived a majority of student housing would develop to the west of the highway. He cited the current crosswalks that run across the highway as an adequate way of passage for students.
