By Scott Harvey

Commerce – A recent standoff in Commerce ends peacefully. Just before 1 p.m. Wednesday, Commerce Police received an order to pick up a subject on Edna Street, regarding a mental health issue.

The man refused to come out of the residence and refused to let officers inside. Commerce PD proceeded to speak with the individual for about 3 hours by phone before the man decided to turn himself in. At around 4:15 p.m., officers took the man into custody without further incident.
