Greenville – Yet another area traffic stop has uncovered several pounds of marijuana, and leads to the arrest of one person.
The incident occurred early Friday morning, when Officer Adam Phillips with the Greenville Police Department stopped a truck near the 97 mile marker on eastbound Interstate 30 for failure to indicate an intention to change lanes.
The driver, identified as Daniel Charles Jacobs, gave consent to Officer Phillips to search the vehicle. A large plastic container was located and inside, under several articles of clothing were four duct taped bundles of what appeared to be marijuana, weighing just under 50 pounds.
Jacobs was arrested and charged with possession of marijuana.
