New kind of worship service begins this weekend

By Scott Harvey

Commerce – The First United Methodist Church of Commerce launches a non-traditional Sunday evening worship service called "The Bridge" this weekend.

Dinner will be served at 6 p.m., followed by the worship service at 6:30 in the church's new Family Life Center.

According to Associate Pastor and A&M-Commerce Campus Minister Aleze Fulbright, The hope is to fulfill the need of those looking for something different at church with casual dress, live contemporary music and a relaxed atmosphere.

Everyone is welcome to come relax, enjoy, and be free to worship in your own way. The church is located on State Highway 50, across from the Texas A&M University-Commerce campus.

More information is available at the Facebook group for "The Bridge" or at 903-886-3220.
