Not guilty plead entered in job center theft

By Scott Harvey

Greenville – A Greenville woman pleads not guilty to felony theft following allegations she stole thousands from a local job center.

31-year-old Comesia Monique Jones entered the plea during an arraignment hearing Monday. She's been charged with theft in the amount of more than $1,500 but less than $20,000 by aggregate amount. A tentative trial date was set for November 9.

Jones, a truck driver, was indicted on the charge by the Hunt County grand jury in December.

According to the 18-page indictment, Jones appropriated between $50 and $500 from the North Central Texas Workforce Development Board on 67 separate occasions between June, 2003 and April, 2006.
