Girl severely injured at Caddo Mills airport

By Brad Kellar

Caddo Mills – A teenager is severely injured following a weekend incident at the Caddo Mills airport.

The 18-year-old female victim was in critical condition as of Saturday evening, after being hit in the shoulder with the propeller of an airplane. The girl underwent eight and one-half hours of surgery in Dallas, and was expected to be OK, according to Hunt County Sheriff Randy Meeks.

The accident occurred at around noon Saturday, as a group was practicing skydiving. The plane had reportedly just landed as the girl was coming around to the front and walked into the propeller. Her name was not released.
