Greenville gang member gets 18 years in prison

Greenville – A local gang member receives prison time after pleading guilty to a string of crimes from October, 2008.

Under a plea bargain arrangement, 19-year-old Darrell Obrien Jackson, of Greenville, was sentenced to 18 years in prison on each of five felony counts; with the sentences to run concurrently.

He had been indicted on two counts of aggravated robbery, two counts of engaging in organized crime and one count of aggravated kidnapping.

Jackson had faced a maximum sentenced of life in prison. He had previously pleaded not guilty to five charges, but entered the guilty pleas Wednesday.
