Commerce – A recent production at the Texas A&M University-Commerce Playhouse has received a special honor.
The cast and crew of the Bird and Bee have been nominated to represent Texas, New Mexico, Arkansas, Oklahoma and Missouri at the Region IV Kennedy Center/American College Theater Festival.
The event will take place February 24 - 28 at Amarillo College in Amarillo.
The Festival is designed to recognize some of the finest work produced in university and college theater programs. Its 600 member network is is divided into eight sections nationwide.
A&M-Commerce students A'Mari Rocheleau, Jacob Layton, and Gerald Taylor have also received nominations for the Irene Ryan Acting Awards.
The scholarship is awarded to the outstanding student performers at each regional festival.
