Man charged in Quinlan shooting

By Brad Kellar

Quinlan – A Quinlan man has been charged in a Sunday night shooting that left three people wounded. A Ford High School football player was among the wounded, according to Sheriff Randy Meeks. Gregory Clyde Bostick, 43, was charged and arraigned Tuesday evening with three counts of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon. Bostick was released from custody on a total of $150,000 bond.

Meeks identified the wounded as Toby Torbert of Greenville, Melvin McBride Jr. of Royse City and Tyler McBride. Meeks said 17 year old Tyler McBride was one of the stars for the Quinlan Panthers football team and suffered a severe injury to an eye.

A shotgun and pistol were both used in the shooting that was an apparent domestic dispute.
