New jobs await as paintball company settles in

By Scott Harvey

Bonham – Production of a new manufacturing company is underway in Bonham which could lead to as many as 30 jobs.

Dynamo Paintball Company, one of only five paintball manufacturers in North America, will operate out of a vacant building that formerly housed Bonham Manufacturing Co. An open house was held over the weekend.

North Texas E-News is reporting Bonham Economic Development Corporation (BEDCo) attracted the company with a seven-year $150,000 loan at 2.5 percent interest, plus $2,000 per month rent subsidy for two years, while would total $48,000 in savings for the company. BEDCo will also provide Dynamo Paintball Company with half of a $50,000 grant, with the Bonham Industrial Foundation funding the other half.

The company currently has 14 employees and is operating two shifts. Officials also plan to open a paintball field just west of the manufacturing site.
