Greenville – The trial of a Mexican national, facing six felony counts following a shootout with police last summer, has again been pushed back.
Trial for Francisco Javier Davila-Rodriguez had been scheduled to begin Monday on all charges, but during a hearing this week, the trial was reset to December 26.
Davila-Rodriguez has pleaded not guilty to all six charges. He had been ordered to undergo a psychiatric evaluation in February to determine if he was competent to stand trial. Results have not been released.
Davila-Rodriguez remains in the Hunt County Jail on $410,000 bond.
