Lake Erie Crushers Want Stomper's Head Returned

DAVID GREENE, HOST:

Good morning. I'm David Greene.

It was just a feel good promotion. The Lake Erie Crushers, a minor league baseball team in Ohio, called it where's Stomper. Fans saw photos of the team mascot Stomper the Bear, and they could guess what Ohio landmark he was visiting. But now the team is asking where's Stomper. Someone stole the bear's head from a storage closet. Stomper missed the Crushers final home games. The team promises no questions asked if Stomper's head is returned. It's MORNING EDITION.
