According to the show’s host, “Bullseye is a public radio show about things that are awesome,” presenting discussions with well-known personalities from popular culture, entertainment and the arts.

Guests on recent episodes, as of this writing, have included film director Paul Feig, Charlie Wilson from The Gap Band and "Weird Al" Yankovic.

“Jesse Thorn is a young, hip presenter with an extensive and interesting rolodex,” says KETR General Manager Jerrod Knight. “We hope the addition of Bullseye to the weekend lineup will help dispel the myth that public radio has to be stodgy and formulaic. The show is funny, smart and very entertaining. And it appeals to such a wide audience, focusing on pop culture icons from the 60s and 70s all the way through to today.”

Other changes expected to the weekend schedule include a second broadcast of the "TED Radio Hour," which is a radio program built around the popular TED Talks series. That program now airs Saturdays at 3 p.m. and again Sundays at noon.

State and regional news junkies now have a reason to wake up early on the weekends – a block of programming that includes two Texas-produced news and information programs, “Texas Matters” from Texas Public Radio and “Latino USA” from NPR, being at 6 a.m. on Saturdays and Sundays, leading into the live morning national newsmagazines “Weekend Edition Saturday” and "Weekend Edition Sunday," respectively.
