Dr. Dan Jones at Binnion Hall.
A&M-Commerce Marketing Communications

When president Dan Jones first introduced his seven Guiding Principles to the university, he knew they'd be the impetus for continued growth and realignment in order to meet the needs of future generations of students. To that end, further discussion is required in order for the administration to stay current - and part of that discussion happens on today's episode of The President's Perspective.

Also discussed during Dr. Jones' monthly chat is the lengths that Texas A&M University-Commerce goes to in order to keep its students, faculty, and staff safe during icy conditions or other severe weather scenarios.

The December installment would be incomplete without a mention of the "watershed moment" that happens at this month's graduation: For the first time in school history, the ceremonies require multiple days to complete.

The President's Perspective is heard on the first Wednesday of each month at noon and again at 5pm. The program is produced by Jerrod Knight in KETR's studios in Binnion Hall, on the campus of Texas A&M University-Commerce, with support from listeners and from the Corporation for Public Broadcasting.
