Dr. Mary Hendrix is the guest for today's program

"We've really set as our goal to be the University that cares," says Dr. Mary Hendrix, Vice President for Student Access and Success at Texas A&M University-Commerce.Dr. Hendrix joins A&M-C president Dr. Dan Jones on this month's program to talk about milestones over the past 12 months, including campus facility improvements, enrollment growth, and the role that family can play in a student's academic success.

After the break, conversation turns to athletics, including the buzz surrounding the new softball program, and how the expected student population growth on the Commerce campus can have a positive effect on the region's economy.

The President's Perspective is a monthly half-hour chat with the president and CEO of Texas A&M University-Commerce, Dr. Dan Jones, along with Jerrod Knight. The program is produced in partnership with the University, and with the support of the Corporation for Public Broadcasting, as well as KETR's generous members.

Jerrod Knight oversees station programming, news and sports operations, individual and corporate development efforts, business and budget planning and execution, and technical operations.
