Arts alive and well in Edom and Ben Wheeler

Nestled between Canton and Tyler are a pair of small East Texas towns in which culture and the arts are thriving. Edom and Ben Wheeler make up for their small populations with big time charm and culture.

Ben Wheeler is home to annual events such as the Junebug Music Festival, the Fall Feral Hog Festival, and the Far Out Art Fest. Edom is host to an annual Arts & Crafts Fair, and live music.

Born in Dallas, Texas, Matt moved to the Sulphur Springs area in 1990 and settled in Commerce shortly thereafter. Having dreamed of working in radio since childhood, he began working at KETR while taking Radio-Television courses at Texas A&M University-Commerce in 1993. Mary Walker Clark is a graduate of the University of Texas at Austin and the University of Houston Law School. She practiced law in Paris, Texas for 29 years before retiring to pursue her lifelong passion for traveling.
