Austin is known for its singers and songwriters in folk and rock genres, but not as much for those creating R&B music. Alesia Lani is one of the creative artists out to change that perception with her own Texas-fried style.
Still a relative newcomer to the scene (her first album dropped in 2015), Lani recently teamed up with label mates and Austin MC's Tone1y and Clova on a new single called "Ride," and she's hoping to release a new album this year. Matt Meinke spoke with Alesia from Austin.
