TYLER - 18 East Texas middle school students were hospitalized Monday after their school bus collided with a vehicle in Smith County.
Tyler ISD officials on the scene said 26 students were on board the bus, and 17 were taken to hospitals with minor injuries. One other student was also later taken to the hospital.
A Dallas man was charged with driving with a suspended license and driving on the wrong side of the road.
The students were attending an after school program at UT-Tyler.
