HUNT COUNTY - The Hunt County Sheriff’s Office is reporting the arrest of two people following the murder of a man over the weekend.
David Erby Smith was located on the kitchen floor of a residence in Wills Point early Saturday morning.
It was there deputies made contact with Melanie Smith, David Smith’s wife, and George Cook, her neighbor. And after a brief investigation, it was determined that David Smith’s death was the cause of a physical altercation that occurred at the residence.
A cause of death was not given.
The two suspects have been arrested and arraigned on $1 million bond apiece.
