Status of proposed oil pipeline remains in limbo

DENVER - President Barack Obama says his administration has made no decision on whether a Canadian company can proceed with plans for a transnational oil pipeline to Texas.

A protester during Obama's appearance at the University of Colorado Denver yelled that the president should say no to the contested Keystone XL project. The proposed pipeline has prompted protests nationally and demonstrators have been arrested in front of the White House.

The pipeline would carry oil derived from Canada, to refineries along the Texas Gulf Coast, traveling through several area counties along the way, including Lamar, Delta, Hopkins, Franklin and Wood counties.
