COMMERCE - Wishes came true for a Commerce teenager over the weekend. The request was one of more than 70 granted this year to area children with life-threatening medical conditions.
The Make a Wish Foundation of North Texas provided Cameron Smith with a ride in a Chrysler 300 which had been specially commissioned for Jason “Jet” Terry of the Dallas Mavericks. Upon arrival at Greenville Chrysler Saturday morning, Smith got to test ride a new Dodge Charger and Dodge Challenger. He also got to ride in a stretch limousine provided by Moonbeams of Greenville for a $2,000 shopping spree.
Smith was the focus of the Benefit in the Park in Commerce in July. He suffers from kidney failure and is currently on a donor list.
